5 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Fall

There is always something to do in Milwaukee, and Fall is no exception. Check out these five things to do in Milwaukee this Fall!

Take a Tour of Your Favorite Brewery

Milwaukee is famous for its beer, and Fall is a great time to go on a brewery tour! When the air gets a little cooler, and the trees begin to change colors, many breweries in Milwaukee come out with their specialty beers for Fall! While going on a brewery tour is fun at any time of the year, you can’t sample a pumpkin spice lager in June! See for yourself what makes Milwaukee the beer city and sample some specialty fall beers when you go on a brewery tour!

Boo at the Zoo!

Every year the Milwaukee County Zoo puts on Boo at the Zoo, a fun Halloween event at the zoo. Fun for the whole family, you can check it out this year from October 22-25 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Get in the spirit of Halloween at the zoo this year!

Enjoy Local and Independent Films at the Milwaukee Film Festival

The Milwaukee Film Festival is an annual film festival in Milwaukee that has been running since 2008 and continues to grow every year! The festival seeks to make Milwaukee a hub of filmmaking. At the Milwaukee Film Festival, you will see films from Milwaukee and beyond the best up-and-coming filmmakers. Showing hundreds of films, there is bound to be something for everyone.  Be sure to check out the Milwaukee Film Festival, one of Milwaukee’s premiere fall events!

See Behind the Scenes at Doors Open

Doors Open is an annual event celebrating Milwaukee’s beautiful architecture, diverse neighborhoods, and Milwaukee’s spirit. Learn more about the place you call home and see inside some historic Milwaukee buildings and learn more about the great communities in your city. This year, just a few of the featured buildings include the Federal Courthouse, Lakefront Brewery, Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility, Robert A. Anderson Lake Tower, Burnham Block by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Story Hill Fire House. Take a look behind the scenes and learn all about the great city you call home at the annual Doors Open event on September 26 – October 11.

Visit one of Milwaukee’s Many Museums

Milwaukee is home to many different museums. Art-lovers will feel right at home in the Milwaukee Art Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, or the Grohmann Museum. If you like motorcycles, then be sure to visit the Harley-Davidson Museum to learn about the most famous motorcycle from Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Public Museum offers three floors of natural history and modern anthropology exhibits and a butterfly garden. Discovery World is a great place to bring the whole family, with exhibits on innovation, technology, Great Lakes conservation, and an aquarium. Checking out museums is a great fall activity, given the abundance of quality museums in the Milwaukee area.
